As Winter approaches here in the Northern Hemisphere, my humans and I still want to keep a bit of sunshine in their lives. So I steeped up a nice cuppa this flavored tea with the sunny name not only to keep my humans feeling sunny, but to be sure I stayed sunny! This one was part of the samples we had received from Empire Tea Services recently as part of their holiday promotion efforts.
Ingredients are listed on their store site as a blend of Ceylon black teas, Lemon Myrtle, Stevia, Lemon peel with Rum, Lemon and Lime flavors. The dry mix had a spicy citrusy aroma. Intriguing. The flavor was pleasant, sweet, and managed to avoid being too tangy or sour. My humans just relaxed and enjoyed. (A tip for all my cousin teapots out there: It’s good to keep your humans happy with tea so that they stay out of the way when you want to have a parTEA with your buddies!)
This is a nice occasional tea, but I’m not sure my humans would go for it on a steady basis. For one thing, the taste of the tea is totally covered up by the other ingredients.
