Lately, I’ve been seeing some lovely tea photos online. Beautiful looking leaves. Brilliantly colored and sparkly tea liquid, often photographed in some idyllic setting. But taste? Who knows.
Sadly, appearance and taste in tea (and other things) do not always go hand in hand. Awhile back, I had tried several oolongs side by side, served chilled (in the frig overnight, since ice in my tea is a total non-starter). Here’s the photo with the ratings hidden:
Based on appearance, which would you expect to taste best? Which would taste worst? Personally, I like the color of the Sumatra Oolong Barisan (left) best – bright, clear, and sparkling in the sun. Make your guesses, jot them down and then scroll down to the result.
